A friend of mine gave me the idea for this song not long after my Grandma passed away (Dad's side). It was really close to my heart. And I had a little trouble writing it. However, my producer suggested that I write what my grandma would say to her family if she could write a letter from Heaven. And that's when the ideas started coming out. Also, my grandma's name "Minnie" was put into the bridge of this song, unintentionally by my producer as he was co writing with me ("many"). He had never met her & I never mentioned her name. It was definitely a "God thing". Funny thing, my producer's mother passed not long before we started writing this song. And I think that helped things along. The song was finished 2 months prior to my other grandma's passing (mom's side). And I sung it live in front of my family for the first time at the funeral. As an FYI, I dedicated my whole entire CD to the memory of my grandma (my dad's mom), "Minnie Adcock". I hope it encourages you if you've ever lost a loved one. It's very upbeat & not your typical "funeral" song.
