Tawana: Mission/Beliefs
MISSION STATEMENT:
To share with others through the lyrics of my songs, music & testimony, that "Jesus" is the hope that they can turn to for "all times" of their life (Philippians 4:6 & 7). Also, to encourage women & girls to place their self worth/confidence in Christ. For his opinion is what "ultimately & eternally" matters (Philippians 4:13).
BELIEF STATEMENT...

*God:
God created the universe & everything in it by His Power and Word (Genesis 1:1, 21, 27). God is all knowing, all powerful and ever present. I believe in the "Trinity". God-the father, Jesus-God's son, & The Holy Spirit. All are part of the God head but each have a distinctive role.
*The Bible: It is the Word of God, divinely inspired; that it contains no errors in the original manuscripts and preserved by God for us; that it is authoritative for each of us for every age. The very foundation of the Christian Faith.
*Jesus: God's son, born of a virgin birth & He lived a sinless life (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:18, 20 & 23) . He came to conquer sin & death through his sacrifice on the cross & by his resurrection. Only through choosing to follow Jesus-do we have forgiveness of sin & eternal life .
*Holy Spirit: He indwells all believers at the moment of salvation (when they ask Christ into their heart). He guides us through daily living as we walk in the spirit & seek God's will (John 14:26).
*Salvation:
Jesus, through His death on the cross, provided salvation for all. However, to receive salvation one must repent of sin and trust Jesus Christ alone (John 3:16). You cannot "earn" your salvation (Ephesians 2:8, 2 Tim. 1:9) And nobody is "good enough" (Romans 3:23). It is a free gift as it's through God's grace that we are saved. All you have to do is accept it (John 10:9, Acts 4:12, Romans 10:9 & 10).
*Heaven: Is a real place where God dwells & followers of Jesus go when they die/pass from this life (Genesis 28:12 & 17, Deuteronomy 4:39 & 26:15, Psalm 115:15 & 121:2, Matt. 5:16, Matt. 26:64, Rev. 21:1 & 2). More specific details of Heaven at the end of Revelation.
* Hell is a real place (2 Peter 2:4, Luke 16:23 or read all of Luke 16).
* The devil is real & is God's enemy (John 8:44, 1 Peter 5:8). He knows that his time is short (All of Rev.) & trys to take as many people with him to Hell. Jesus conquered him through his death on the cross & resurrection (1 John 3:8).
